There's a stained glass studio nestled in Northern Michigan that specializes in artistic leaded glass front doors and entries. In fact, the designs at kühl doors are made using a technique that's been in use since the Middle Ages, yet appear contemporary and modern. An Artistic Stained Glass EntryAt kühl doors, I maintain my passion for detail and excellence as well as a concern for the needs of my clients. The contemporary designs belie traditional stained glass styles and depict a more contemporary, minimalist style, letting in light and using patterns that have a distinctly modern approach. My stained glass studio is located in the rolling hills of beautiful Northern Michigan. Please contact me at (231) 631-5398 or request an online quote today to learn more about kühl doors. The History of kühl doorsMy name is Guido Goldkühle. As the owner of kühl doors, it is important for my stained glass studio, and business to carry on the tradition begun by my ancestors, generations of German master craftsmen who specialized in making beautiful objects from organic material. In 18th century Wiedenbruck, a city known for superior craftsmanship, my great-great-grandfather, Franz Anton Goldkühle, was a prominent woodworker. Following him was my great-grandfather, Felix Goldkühle, a stone carver specializing in stone burial monuments. Following his untimely death, the studio was run by his wife and later his son, my grandfather. When Hermann took over at 19, he built the family business into an important supplier of finished glass and marble to the home and furniture industry. His legacy is thriving and the business has remained in our family until the present day. My path to having a stained glass studio of my own was inspired by my father, Dieter Goldkühle, who still works in his Reston, Virginia stained glass studio to this day. He taught me everything I know about the art and craft of stained glass. His standards for quality and personal service are what drive my business philosophy and characterize my client interaction. When I create an artistic stained glass entry for your home, it's important to me that we work together to conceive a finished product which is in keeping with what is envisioned. Please contact my stained glass studio today for more information about what I can create for you. |
